Karides Was Not Flooded (English) in: Europe – Greek
Now concerning shrimps (karides) Ephoros in Book 1 of his History writes that there was also a city called Karides near the island of Chios. He states that the survivors of the flood which took place in Deukalion’s time founded it under the leadership of Makar; and that the place is called Karides down to the present time.
